Instrument for Postural Analysis

The SpineLine system, developed by Atlantomed, represents an advanced solution for postural analysis. It stems from the need to accurately visualise postural changes resulting from Atlas correction. It is also very useful for all professionals involved in the field of postural improvement, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, as well as dentists and gnathologists faced with mandibular balancing, bite adjustment, etc.

This postural assessment instrument integrates a green laser reference line which, in combination with a specially designed measuring wall, allows even the slightest deviations from the ideal posture to be identified.

The measuring wall made of plastic-coated, washable fabric, with its reference lines, facilitates the assessment and at the same time prevents the patient from aligning vertically with the view.

To ensure accurate assessment, SpineLine is equipped with powerful LED lighting with neutral colour temperature. This ensures even light distribution over the subject, independent of ambient light conditions, eliminating shadows that could distort the analysis.

The rotating footboard, weighing 25 kg, is milled from a 60 kg aluminium monoblock to be extremely stable and durable. It stops exactly every 90° of rotation. Its 10 ball bearings ensure smooth movement, effectively supporting even the heaviest weights.

SpineLine makes patient positioning precise, fast and, above all, exactly repeatable each time it is used, something not at all taken for granted with other postural evaluation systems.

The solid and immovable construction of the SpineLine system, combined with careful initial calibration, makes it possible to take pictures at different times and still maintain a constant and unchanging position that always fixes a perfect angle between the patient and the measuring wall. This condition is of crucial importance, as even slight deviations in the point of shooting, a lack of angular offset and the resulting change in perspective affect the accuracy of posture measurement and make comparisons with previous shootings difficult. In addition, consistent lighting is essential for comparing different shooting sessions to ensure accurate and repeatable posture analysis over time.

Only if the photos are taken from exactly the same point and under exactly the same conditions can they be superimposed to authentically appreciate even the smallest change. To do otherwise only becomes a misleading representation that lends itself to all kinds of optical illusions and manipulation.

The SpineLine postural assessment system is designed to ensure maximum quality, transparency and reliability in assessments. Therefore, it is not suitable for those who wish to manipulate results or simulate non-existent postural improvements by altering perspective, lighting conditions or camera points. SpineLine is intended for practitioners who place ethics and accuracy at the centre of their practice and ensure truthful and replicable measurements.

SpineLine: technical features

The measuring system is high-temperature powder-coated for scratch resistance and durability. Both the rotating platform and the base of the stand have adjustable adhesive feet to ensure perfect levelling. The heavy weight ensures extreme stability.

The unit is powered directly from the mains (100 to 240V - 200W) and is operated by a single switch which controls the on/off of the LED lights, laser and camera. An adjustable timer switches the system off at the end of the analysis.

A reflex camera, operated by remote control, captures high resolution images on each axis. These are automatically transferred to the computer via Wi-Fi for subsequent posture analysis and comparison with previous photos.

Backed by a 5-year warranty and manufactured in Switzerland, the SpineLine measurement system is an essential tool for postural professionals, indispensable for anyone who needs to monitor postural changes with precision and reliability.
